This Privacy Policy explains how Photogeniq ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • User-provided information: When you create a subscription, we collect your Apple ID email address.
  • Face photos: When you create a Photogeniq, we collect the photos you upload for model training.
  • Generated content: We collect the images you create or edit using our app.
  • Usage data: We collect data about how you use the app, including features used and time spent in the app.
  • Device identifiers: We collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) when you grant tracking permission, and your vendor identifier (IDFV) regardless. These are used for ad attribution and measuring the performance of our marketing campaigns.
  • Subscription and purchase data: We collect information about subscription purchases, trials, and renewals through RevenueCat.
  • App events: We collect data about key app events (for example, app opens and subscription starts) for analytics and advertising attribution.

Face Data Processing

Our app collects and processes face photos that users voluntarily provide to create their personalized AI avatar ("Photogeniq"). Here's how we handle this sensitive data:

Collection and Use

  • We collect user-provided face photos for creating personalized AI models
  • Photos are used for the sole purpose of training the user's custom AI avatar and are retained for providing technical support and quality assurance
  • No facial recognition or identity verification is ever performed
  • Photos are not used for any other purposes beyond model training and support

Data Security and Storage

  • Photos are processed and stored securely by our AI service provider, Fal
  • Photos and models are stored only while your account and subscription remains active

Data Sharing

  • Face data is never sold
  • Face data is shared only with Fal, our AI infrastructure provider, for the purpose of creating, running, and supporting your personalized AI model

User Control

  • Providing face photos is voluntary and optional
  • Users can request complete account deletion at any time, which will remove all photos and associated AI models
  • Users own their generated content and can delete it at will

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve our services
  • Analyze app usage to improve functionality
  • Provide technical support and quality assurance

Advertising and Attribution

We work with Singular, a mobile measurement partner, to understand how users discover our app and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on platforms like TikTok.

  • What data is shared: Device identifiers (IDFA, if you grant permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt; IDFV otherwise), subscription events, and basic app interaction events.
  • Who receives it: Singular, and through Singular, the advertising networks we run campaigns on (currently TikTok).
  • Your choice: When you first open the app after onboarding, iOS will ask whether you want to allow tracking. If you decline, we will not share your IDFA with Singular or any advertising partner. Attribution will fall back to Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework, which does not identify you personally.

You can change your tracking preference at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share (as defined by applicable US state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA) certain data — specifically device identifiers and app event data — with advertising partners for the purpose of measuring the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. This sharing only occurs if you grant tracking permission through the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can opt out at any time by disabling tracking in your device settings.

We may also share your information with:

  • Fal, our AI infrastructure provider, to process photos and run AI models
  • RevenueCat, to manage subscriptions and purchases
  • Singular and our advertising partners (currently TikTok), for marketing attribution (only if you grant tracking permission)
  • Legal authorities when required by law

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate and improve the app:

  • Fal (https://www.fal.ai) — AI infrastructure provider that processes photos and runs personalized AI models.
  • RevenueCat (https://www.revenuecat.com) — Subscription management and in-app purchase processing.
  • Singular (https://www.singular.net) — Mobile measurement and advertising attribution. Receives device identifiers and app event data when you grant tracking permission.
  • TikTok for Business (https://ads.tiktok.com) — Advertising network. Receives attribution data via Singular and Apple's SKAdNetwork framework.

Each of these providers maintains its own privacy policy and security practices. We encourage you to review them.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and update your personal information
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Opt-out of marketing communications
  • Opt out of tracking and ad attribution at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking

Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including encryption during data transfer and secure storage through our service providers.
